I’m so pleased that you’re here and want to find out more about me.
I'm an ACA-qualified accountant and have 7 years of experience working in the finance industry. I qualified in a big four firm in the audit sector and then moved into consultancy which has given me a great understanding of how every aspect of company finances works.
For the past 3 years, I've been working in a large corporate company as a finance manager before deciding that I wanted to help smaller companies and fellow female entrepreneurs grow their businesses and achieve their potential.
I started Hummingbird Finance at the end of 2021 (as a bit of a side hustle) but quickly felt as though I really found my purpose. Helping small businesses navigate the world of all things tax submissions and accounting with less stress (and lots of appreciation) brings me so much joy. So much so that by August 2022, I had left the corporate world to focus purely on this business.
A common story I hear from my clients is that they only used to interact with their accountant once a year to submit their tax return. They didn't feel they could ask questions about the reports/numbers they were receiving.
I want you to feel fully in control, to understand what's going on with your finances completely. I will always take time to run through anything with you. Questions are highly welcomed, and my attitude is that no question is too basic or stupid.
All of my packages include phone or email support, so if you want to run something past me, you can whenever you want!
I know that running a business can be really rewarding but also equally tough at times! I'll be there every step of the way, supporting and helping you grow your business.
We can work with you to schedule accounting work around your busy periods so you're not trying to juggle a busy summer, for example, with submitting your tax return!
My goal is to empower you to feel comfortable with your finances so that you can confidently grow your businesses.

When I’m not busy crunching numbers, I love to unwind with a glass of wine and cheesy Rom-Com or Netflix show ... think Bridgerton, Twilight, Sweet Magnolias etc.

I’ve been busy planning a wedding at the same time as launching my business - I’m getting married in a barn on my fiance's family farm - the juggle is real.

I'm a snackoholic - put crisps or biscuits in front of me and they will disappear!

I trained in accounting in a big four firm and then moved into industry to work as a finance manager at KFC.

I love to travel and see new places especially anywhere that has a vineyard! A big bucket list trip of mine is to go to Puru and see Machu Picchu someday!

I studied Chemistry at Oxford Uni. Believe it or not, more chemists go into accounting than you would think.
